The Academy for Technology and the Classics (ATC), a grade 7-12 charter in Santa Fe, New Mexico has an immediate opening for an experienced, innovative music teacher to build a thriving program. ATC was recognized by U.S. News and World Report in 2008 as one of America's top high schools.
ATC maintains small classes, a familial atmosphere, and the visual, performing and musical arts are central to our curriculum. The successful candidate for this position will be highly collaborative, passionate about the role of art in school life, and comfortable with a broad variety of artistic genre.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidate must either hold a New Mexico state teacher's license with an endorsement in music or qualify for one.
- Candidate is a specialist in Music with experience teaching the middle school and the high school level.
- Candidate has experience teaching marimba, percussion, MIDI and rock.
- Candidate possess a teaching style that can adapt to multiple ways of learning, including linear skills and project based learning.
- Candidate must be computer literate.
- Experience in a block schedule and charter schools is a plus.
