French III

French III continues the development of communicative skills, enhances reading skills and appreciation of supplementary materials in literature, history, geography and fine arts. The students begin to manipulate the language through creative and expository writing. Emphasis is place on cultural issues and the use of French in the classroom.

French II

Course continues to develop communicative skills. There is greater use of French in the classroom. Emphasis is on sustained communication, both oral and written. An appreciation of the culture of French speaking countries is enhanced.

French I

Course introduces students to the basic skills - listening, speaking, reading, and writing and to the basic structures of French taught within the cultural context. Emphasis will be placed on oral communication skills. A career awareness component is included which emphasizes the importance of French in the world.

German III

Course continues the development of communicative skills, enhances reading skills and appreciation of supplementary materials in literature, history, geography and fine arts. The students begin to manipulate the language through creative and expository writing. Emphasis is placed on cultural issues and the use of German in the classroom.

German II

Course continues to develop communicative skills. There is wider use of German not only in classroom management, but also in teaching concepts. Emphasis is on sustained communication, both oral and written. An appreciation of culture of German speaking countries is enhanced.

German I

Course introduces students to the basic skills - listening, speaking, reading, and writing - and to the basic structures of German taught within the cultural context.
