Grade General Math “Math Tutorial”

Course reinforces basic math skills for students who have not previously attained them, and extend these skills to further applications and concepts. General Math includes the study of general math topics, such as arithmetic using rational numbers, basic geometry, basic statistics, and application of these skills to real world problems and situations. Enhancement topics: area, perimeter, and volume of geometric figures, congruence and similarity, angle relationships, the Pythagorean theorem, the rectangular coordinate system, sets and logic, ratio and proportion, estimation, formulas, solving and graphing simple equations and inequalities (i.e., linear equations in one variable), and operations with real numbers.  This class will be offered in addition to the grade level course of 

pre-algebra.
