AP Art History

Course designed to parallel college level Art History courses, AP Art History of Art courses provide the opportunity to critically examine architecture, sculpture, painting, and other art forms within their historical and cultural contexts.  In covering the art of several centuries (not necessarily in chronological order), students learn to identify different styles, techniques, and influences, and to formulate and articulate their reactions to various kinds of artwork. This course is intended to prepare students for the optional Advanced Placement Exam  in this subject and should follow the published College Board guidelines.
